PUERTO RICO (AP) If you’ve ever been to Puerto Rico, you know the food is delicious.
But the locals have a way of making their rice taste worse.
One of the most popular dishes is the rice porridge.
Rice is traditionally prepared with water and some rice flour mixed in.
This porridge is often topped with breadcrumbs and cheese.
You may also add a splash of vinegar and spices.
The porridge has become an American classic, but the dish has a Spanish heritage.
Some say the porridge, or porreira de cerveceria, comes from a local town in central Spain called Cervecería Cuatro.
In the 19th century, the Spanish colonial government decided that Puerto Ricans should have their own version of porridge and a Spanish version of the porreiras porrerias.
The recipe for this dish is called porreieras porrías porro.
The name Porreirás porría comes from the name of the town where the porrés are made.
In this porridge recipe, the porridges are made from rice, flour, milk and butter.
