Recipe: Roasted Rice and Roasted Tomato Sauce in a Crockpot.
Roasted rice is one of the most popular rice dishes and this simple recipe is perfect for busy weeknights.
The simple method combines a blend of rice and tomatoes in one pot and then steamed for a full minute before being served.
1/2 cup water 2 cups tomato paste 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons butter 1 large egg 1/4 cup milk 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 2 tablespoons rice vinegar 1 tablespoon honey 2 teaspoons garlic salt 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/16 teaspoon ground cloves 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1/6 teaspoon turmeric salt To serve: 1 cup roasted rice 3 cups canned tomatoes 2 tablespoons brown sugar To make the sauce: 1/5 cup cornstearin 1/1 cup water 1/7 cup sugar 1 cup rice vinegar To serve with sauce: Instructions In a large bowl, combine the water, tomato paste, salt, butter, eggs, milk, garlic powder, and rice vinegar.
Add in the egg and stir until combined.
Add cornstech, turmeric, sugar, and garlic salt.
Pour in the water mixture, stirring well until combined and then pour the water mix into the crockpot to steam.
Cook on high for 8 hours.
Serve with a little more sauce for extra flavor.
